2. RESPECT FOR THE FISH

All fish must be handled with care!

All fish should be handled in this way:

Once the fish is exhausted in your landing net, try to unhook it.

If that is not possible to unhook your leader, fold your landing net making sure the fins are pressed against the body of the fish at all times.

Roll up your landing net without removing the fish from the water. Once this is done you can take your weighing bag and slip it under the fish while leaving the fish in the water.

Once the weighing bag is well around the fish, check again if the fins are correctly positioned.

Close the weighing bag. Bring your mat to the water’s edge. Lift your fish using the weighing bag and place it delicately on the receiving mat.

Any transport of fish on the bank must be done with the weighing bag and the receiving mat. During this manipulation, a bucket of water must be ready to water the fish regularly while it is out of the water.

We recommend taking pictures of trophy fish (+40 lbs) in the water.
